Insider Tip

While online pre-booking of Priority Tickets (絶叫優先券) is possible, JEMS advises checking the park's official app or digital boards immediately upon entry for real-time availability and purchasing any remaining tickets for peak attractions like Eejanaika or Zokkon. Many visitors overlook the strategic purchase of these timed entry tickets inside the park, resulting in prolonged wait times, especially for the park's most popular rides.

JEMS Tip

JEMS can arrange seamless private transfers directly from your Tokyo accommodation, bypassing congested public bus lines and allowing for a crucial pre-park opening arrival to access popular rides before crowds peak. Our consultants can pre-purchase 'Zokkon Priority Tickets' (絶叫優先券) for key attractions like Zokkon, Fujiyama, and Takabisha, advising on the optimal sequence to maximize rides and minimize wait times during your visit.

About

Fuji-Q Highland is an iconic amusement park at the base of Mount Fuji, renowned for its collection of world record-breaking roller coasters such as Fujiyama, Takabisha, and Eejanaika. Beyond extreme thrills, the park offers family-friendly zones like Thomas Land and Lisa and Gaspard Town, alongside seasonal events and unique VR attractions for diverse entertainment.

Crowd Avoidance

To minimize queues, target weekdays (Tuesday to Thursday) outside of Japanese public holidays, Golden Week (early May), Obon (mid-August), and summer vacation. Arrive at least 30-45 minutes before official opening to be among the first through the gates, then immediately proceed to your highest-priority major coaster like Eejanaika or Zokkon. Utilize the early morning hours, typically until 10:30 AM, before crowds fully materialize.

Getting There

From Tokyo, the most convenient method is a direct highway bus from Shinjuku Expressway Bus Terminal (Busta Shinjuku), typically taking around 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours, dropping you directly at the park entrance. Alternatively, take the JR Chuo Line to Otsuki Station, then transfer to the Fujikyuko Line for a scenic 55-minute journey to Fujikyu-Highland Station.
